ITS HISTORY

Founded by direct students of Hiroo Michizuki who had been teaching since the 1960s, the Swiss Federation of Yoseikan Budo was born in the early 1970s, notably thanks to Maurice Penseyres, one of the pioneers of martial arts in Switzerland .

Very quickly, the Federation (still through Maurice Penseyres) saw the creation of sections of Yoseikan Budo in Valais, in the canton of Vaud and in Geneva, then in all the rest of Switzerland.

The Swiss Federation also contributed significantly to the technical development of Yoseikan Budo competition weapons around the world (foam-covered weapons) and protective gear, as well as competition regulations.

HIS GOALS
The aims of the Swiss Federation revolve around two main axes:
UNIFYING SWISS PRACTITIONERS
Through the organization of regular events (courses, competitions, etc.) in different parts of the country to bring practitioners together throughout Switzerland.
HELPING CLUBS
  • By helping to train the teachers of the different clubs to the latest pedagogical methods.
  • Providing technical development courses for advanced students to ensure an even higher level.
  • By creating a "Competition Group" to prepare the country's top competitors at international championships
  • Continuing to train those who desire to arbitration in their clubs and at major events.
